Should I list my land with a Real Estate Agent?

Do you have a piece of vacant land that you are looking to sell? Although it is tougher to sell land than it is to sell a new home there are many things you can do to help your chances.

Listing your property with a New Construction Specialist is one way to increase your chances.  Many buyers looking to purchase land plan on building a home on the land as well.  A new construction specialist works with local builders in town and can guide the buyer in the right direction.

Ghost Listings Give Buyers Ideas
Ghost listing your property requires that your agent brings a builder into the mix.  Your agent should know what new homes are selling and help put together a package and pricing.  If your agent is working with a reputable builder, they should have file photos (pictures of previous built homes) and a floor plan that they can list in the multiple listing service.

Buyers need to see what their possibilities are.  They probably won't end up purchasing the exact home that is listed but it gets the gears moving. The builder will be able to identify quality building sites that meet the needs of the buyers and help them choose a floor plan.
